quickutilities – Mivi launched its new AI Buds TWS earphones in India on Friday, marking a fresh entry in the wireless audio market. These earbuds stand out due to their built-in voice-based artificial intelligence assistant. Users can interact hands-free with the AI by simply saying “Hi Mivi.” The assistant is context-aware, remembers past interactions, and works through a dedicated companion app.

The earphones come with a 13mm driver and a quad microphone setup for clear audio and voice pickup. Mivi claims the earbuds deliver up to 40 hours of total playtime, including charging from the case. The charging case itself takes just one hour to fully recharge.
Design-wise, the AI Buds feature a metallic unibody with an hourglass-shaped stem and glossy finish. They resemble the earlier Mivi SuperPods Concerto launched in March. The earbuds weigh 52 grams including the case, making them lightweight and portable.
For sound quality, Mivi AI Buds support a 3D soundstage and spatial audio, improving the immersive experience. Bluetooth 5.4 ensures stable wireless connectivity along with LDAC codec support for higher-quality audio streaming. They also include active noise cancellation, although specific ANC details were not shared by the company.
Additional features include an IPX4 rating for water resistance, dual device connectivity, and a dedicated gaming mode for low-latency sound. The earbuds come in four colors: Black, Bronze, Champagne, and Silver.
Priced at Rs. 6,999 in the official press release, the AI Buds are currently listed at Rs. 5,999 on Mivi India’s website. They are available for purchase on Flipkart and Mivi’s official store.
Mivi AI Assistant and User Experience
The key highlight of the Mivi AI Buds is the integrated Mivi AI assistant. This voice-based assistant lets users get help without touching their phones. It requires the Mivi AI companion app to work fully and can be activated hands-free with a wake phrase.
Mivi AI offers five distinct avatars, each specialized in different tasks. These include a Chef, Guru, Interviewer, News Reporter, and Wellness Coach. Each avatar acts as a chatbot tailored to specific user needs. For example, the Guru breaks down complex topics into simple explanations. The Interviewer helps users prepare for job interviews with targeted questions. The Chef provides step-by-step cooking recipes. The News Reporter curates personalized news updates, while the Wellness Coach listens empathetically to user concerns.
Users can interact with these avatars either through voice commands or a text-based interface in the app. This flexibility allows users to choose how they prefer to engage with the assistant. The AI assistant also remembers past conversations, enabling more personalized responses over time.
Mivi’s approach aims to make earbuds not just a device for audio but a smart companion. This innovation reflects a growing trend in wearable technology toward context-aware assistants. The AI Buds could appeal to users who want more than just music playback from their earphones.
With the launch of Mivi AI Buds, the company combines advanced audio features with intelligent voice assistance. This creates a unique user experience that blends convenience and functionality. As AI technology evolves, Mivi’s earbuds may receive updates to enhance their assistant capabilities further. Overall, Mivi AI Buds bring fresh innovation to the TWS segment in India, merging smart AI with premium sound and long battery life. The earbuds set a new benchmark for truly wireless audio devices with built-in voice intelligence.
